A/N: Wrote this in a whole day. Hope you all ( Especially my baby sis!) like it! ^^ Happy Belated Birthday, Eduardo! :)

Stretching lazily on her bed, Juliana yawned and rubbed her eyes, blinking a few times before her senses came back to her and she buzzed around her room shrieking in pure excitement.

The noise obviously woke Masaki up three doors down and her best friend rushed into the room without knocking, colliding with Juliana in a joyful hug as they celebrated the morning of the day together.

Again the yells brought Ally's attention and she burst through the door, already styled and dressed fashionably for the day. Joining the shouts of the duo, the three girlfriends jumped around happily. They stopped and exchanged a look at each other before ecstatically shouting unanimously.

"It's Valentine's Day!"

The combination of the girls' shout was more than enough to wake everybody else up. Of course, some of them were already awake and had been going about on their daily routines until Juliana woke up.

Erinica was one of the early risers. She was combing her extraordinarily long, smooth and silky hair when her half-brother entered with a knock on the door. Getting onto her feet, Eri walked towards her drawer and extracted a small red notebook, before she tossed it in Eduardo's direction. He caught it with relative ease and spoke at the same time.

"What's in this book?"
Erinica smirked at him, something he was used to see, before she replied.

"Instructions. I'm sure you know what I mean. Now, off you go. I have other things to attend to."
He mumbled out a small "Thank you" before he exited the room just as quick as he came.

Erinica chuckled at the clock and at the day ahead.
"Today is going to be a rather interesting day."

'Being a matchmaker certainly has its benefits...'

Two doors down from the Nature Clan heiress's room, Gordon was found with his arms stretch out diagonally to his left and right respectively as Carl was busy wrapping the measuring string around Gordon's waist. Carl furrowed his eyebrows as he calculated mentally the sizes required for Gordon, leaving the Nature Clan heir to fidget pitifully with a small blush. The younger lad spoke with slight stutter, something Carl listened while the older searched the wardrobe for any fitting clothing.

"Erm... C-Carl, D-Do you really th-think that wearing a suit will i-im-impress E-E-Erinica?"
Carl didn't turned to face the lad, but Gordon could hear annoyance underlying the tone of the reply.

"Dude, you can't wear something like what you're wearing now and meet her! You'll embarrassed yourself! All you need is fancy and awesome clothing that make girls (Eri included) to swoon over you! You'll look great for- Aha! Here it is!"

Gordon nearly shrieked when he saw the suit, tie, pants, sweatshirt, shoes, socks all came flying towards his direction. Instead, he let out a shout and was thrown onto the floor with the impact of his chosen clothing. Carl merely continued on his search for his own clothes. He can't possibly ask Ally out wearing his ducky pyjamas. He heard a squeak from the floor, and turned to find Gordon beet red from the ducky print underwear on his face.

"Oh. My bad. You can wear this one (a black with red stripes underwear) instead of that. Leave the ducky underwear alone! The ducky is mine!"

Oh boy... (Author slaps herself due to the direction of stupidity this story is heading to.)

Meanwhile, Nathan and Thomas were busy preparing breakfast. They have exactly (maximum) 1 hour and 35 minutes before everyone fills in the dining area. The tables were already set, with Meiko's and Christopher's help, and since Masaki's father and 60% of his subordinates, including Daisuke his right-hand man, had left for a 'business trip' for at least two weeks, there weren't much tables to set.

Wiping the sweat off her cheek, Meiko gave a apologetic smile to Christopher.

"I'm so sorry for getting you involve in this, Christopher. Do you want anything to eat?"
Nathan heard this and shot Meiko a slight frown.

"Mei, Breakfast is starting soon. You know it's not good to spoil your appetite..."
"Ah ha ha... Nathan, don't blame Meiko, it isn't her fault."
Christopher turned to Meiko and gently pat her head.

"It's alright. Don't blame yourself. Oh yes."
Meiko blinked quizzically at him.

"Have any of you see Russell? He left his bag in my room."
"He went out this morning. When I asked him where he was going, he just refused to let me know..."

Thomas piped into the conversation, earning a slight 'Thwack!' from the frustrated cook.

"Thomas! How many times have I told you to CONCENTRATE?! The dough is getting too moist! Stop adding more water! "

Silently, Meiko and Christopher wisely retreated out of the kitchen to prevent getting involve in the lecture poor Thomas was about to receive.

Valentine's Day or not, Nathan will not let something even as important as his girlfriend Meiko to get in between his passion of cooking.

Arrows flew towards the Water Clan man (boy), the tip of each arrows painted with tinted purple poison. The man (or boy, oh well, let's stay with man) deflected the arrows with his twin katanas, Shiro and Kuro, and return an attack of his own. His opponent smirked approvingly at the reaction, before side-stepping and narrowly avoided the attack.

"You improved. Very impressive."
"Same to you. The direction of the arrows are getting more precise and your speed was quick as well, Yu-Liang."

Said boy nodded understandingly, and began to pick up the fallen arrows around the two. Hunter, the man (or boy, minor confusion due to his age not matching his body size), helped his former enemy to collect the rest of it. Both of them spent quite some time doing so before Hunter spoke up.

"Hey Yu-Liang? Aren't you suppose to prepare for... Today?"
"... Do you want to get ready for Masaki?"
"!!"

Yu-Liang rolled his eyes at the awfully pathetic sight of Hunter covering his glowing red face. It was truly despicable on how man can be reduced to nothing but a pool of embarrassment in seconds on the topic of love. To Yu-Liang, it was nothing but nonsense and hindrance to his abilities, alongside with the fact his own adoptive elder brother died due to his so-called 'love' for Ally. Love is nothing but a weakness enemy can use against you.

"...A-Aren't you going to im-impress Juliana?"
Hunter cautiously asked the younger lad, knowing that every move he make is carefully observed by the other. The other seem to be mildly annoyed by the question, yet he made no move to attack the swordsman.

"Juliana has Christopher after her. Why should I bother?"
Yu-Liang paused for a moment and continued shortly after.

"And you should know, that you and Eduardo are going after that blockhead (A.K.A. Masaki). You're not even the type to compete for her affections (Whether she has or not, is a totally different story all together.), so might as well give up already."

Hunter chewed on his lower lip, pondering over Yu-Liang's words. Yes, he is really weak in this kind of things. It was already in his blood, that both himself and Gordon don't know anything about matters of love. Unlike Carl who knows what a girl likes etc, as the Fire Clan User was living in the modern world far longer than he does. It is certain that both Carl and Thomas will fight to death even just for Ally.

'That is certainly not what I want to witness...'
Hunter sighed and stood up, throwing his katanas over his shoulders before he began to walk away from Yu-Liang, talking as he went.

"I'll try my best to swoon her. (I'm certainly not giving her to Eduardo!) You shouldn't give up on Juliana too soon. I know that you have slight feelings for her. And Masaki would really skin you alive if you just let Juliana go. Anyhow, good luck."

Then Hunter disappeared into the Hoshigami household, as Yu-Liang feeling troubled with the words he left for the younger fighter.

Moving on, the author now takes all the readers and peep at none other than Eduardo, who earlier was given, no, entrusted, with the little red book of instructions. He flipped open the first page and proceeded to stare at it.

Inside the first page was a detailed drawing of Russell. To be more specific, his half-sister-in-law was holding a bouquet of roses in one hand, and a ring (What in the world?!) in a case in his other hand. Russell was dressed formally, something only seen when he was about to confess or propose to somebody. Eduardo shuddered, trying to picture himself in a suit was unlikely, not that he mind if the colour was brown or black. He read the tiny yet neat writing of Erinica's found at the bottom of the drawing.

'The first step is to dress formally. Or rather, go your way out to impress a girl. Unlike the idiot in the drawing, do NOT confuse proposal with confession. The girl will think you're moving too fast, but since you're after Masaki, that sister of mine would think you're just rehearsing with her. For flowers, generally speaking, a guy would always get roses as it symbolises love. But I want you to know this: Girls are more impress if you give them what THEY LIKE, and not what THE WORLD LIKES. For my sister, she likes any bright colour flowers, so you should know what to get her now, right? After this first step, move onto the next quickly as time is not on our side.

P.S.: You'll look nice in a black overcoat matched with a long sleeved baby blue shirt. Keep the first three buttons open, alongside with the hairstyle as usual. Get a dark blue tie as well. '

He stared. Blinked once. Blinked twice. He pinched the bridge of his nose, unsure whether to do what his beloved, long-lost half-sister had written. It seems pretty much unbelievable, anyway.

'But this might be my only chance...'

Sullenly, and dejectedly, Eduardo just headed to the nearest shopping mall.

Only to bump into a loaded-with-bags Russell looking rather surprised to see his girlfriend's half-brother.

"Eduardo?! What are YOU doing here??"

"...How much does the clothes cost?"

Russell stared, eyes widened like the shape of a saucer pan, as he went over and processed again what the Sirius's first mate had just asked.

Eduardo, asking about the price of clothes. Those two don't go hand in hand in one sentence. But it just did.

Eduardo frowned at the expression he received from Russell. Was there something wrong with the question he had just asked? Or did Russell forgotten how much he had spent on the clothes? Nevertheless, Russell seemed to recover quite quick, and began his speech after the brief moment of silence.

"Erm... Ah... The clothes are quite expensive. Depends on what you're looking for. So... Do you need my help?"

Russell could not believe what he had just said. He had OFFERED EDUARDO his assistance. The whole love thing was just messing his head, he could swear that the cupids were shooting stupid arrows at them that cause stupidity. And he didn't said it out loud in fear of poisoned arrows maiming his rear. It was simply too risky.

"Sure. Eri said I should get a black overcoat and a long sleeved, baby blue shirt matched with a dark blue tie. What else would I need to get?"

Eduardo was also surprised at his own choice of words, and was even more so when he saw a very feral grin making itself known on Russell's face. His wrist was quickly caught and he was then dragged by an over-enthusiastic Russell into the shopping mall. He stumbled at first, but he caught himself as quickly as he had stumbled before he, bewildered, asked Russell:

"What has gotten into you?! Slow down, you lunatic! Oi! Are you even listening- Russell!!!"

Said person came to an abrupt stop before he turned to meet Eduardo with a twinkling, mischievous eyes that had Eduardo instantly regretting his decision of asking his crazy shipmate.

"Why, we -or rather I- are going to dress YOU up for today's special occasion. Do you mind showing me Eri's instruction slip? "

Viewing the book took Russell 3 minutes, handing it back to Eduardo took 0 seconds, yet shopping took the both around 2 hours before they decided to head home. Russell gleefully skipped in front of his friend, leaving Eduardo trailing behind with handful of bags.

Eduardo swore that he will never ask Russell again for shopping related tips. It was just to risky.

The day went on as usual. Ally's day was the most delightful while she spend her time with her two best friends at a spa, Erinica joining them for a cup of coffee over at SparTucks. Unbeknownst to them, the guys were all preparing themselves for the night, excluding for Nathan who spends his day with Meiko (Anyone who dared to snatch her away from him was just asking for death. And a frying pan to the face.) far from any interruptions.

But they all know one thing: the Valentine's Day Ball was at night, 8 o'clock sharp, that will change the lives and relationships between each of them.
