A/N: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERINICA AND EROS~! But I’ll be writing about Eri since Eros won’t be featured much in this story (He does, but much more less screen time in comparison to his female counterpart.) :333 Enjoy!

Today was November 25th, it was also the day Erinica dreaded to wake up. She pinched the bridge of her nose in hopes to be able, somehow, to drown out her sister’s overly cheerful voice at 7 A.M. in the morning. It may be her birthday and all, but given that she was usually the early riser, she had expected Masaki to be sleeping while mumbling about pirates and ninjas. Masaki just had to wake up and simultaneously rouse her up from her sleep, babbling away like a Maserati driving straight down an endless road in Texas.

“Rise and Shine! It’s your birthday today, Eri!”

Masaki hopped off the bed and pulled Erinica from the safety of the bed covers. Erinica could not help but stumble when one corner of the sheets entangled her left leg, she tried to stop it but her sister was tugging too harshly, sending her straight into her sister’s bosom, much to Masaki’s amusement.

     “Eri? Are you okay?”

     “…Get out of my room.”

“It’s not just your room! It’s my (temporary) room too! I slept next to you ever since Ren went abroad last week, remember?”

Of course she had remembered. Ren was dragged by Yuta to help him with his work in Vietnam last week. Because of that, Masaki had been sleeping in her room after Takao and Yamato kicked her out of their room for a week of peace, without Masaki. It was Kunihiko who had a “bright” idea to share a house: 6 of them and 5 of the girls had to share 5 rooms. Since Kunihiko took up one room for himself, there was a slight confusion on who should be sharing the remaining rooms. Yuta shared a room with Saeki, Ally unanimously shared her room with Juliana and Meiko, Erinica decided to room with Ren, and Masaki chose Takao to sleep in the same room as her. As for Yamato, who refused to bunk with the messy Saeki or Ren, reluctantly chose Takao’s room. Anyone can imagine the daily ritual of the fight for the bed between Yamato and Masaki every night.

“Come on now! Don’t sulk! He’ll be back soon, so go and bathe! I’ll check and see if the two guys are awake yet.”

Erinica chose not to comment that Masaki seemed to have a knack for knowing other people’s love life but not her own. A chaste kiss on the forehead, Masaki bounded out of the room and crashed into the room where Takao and Yamato were in. Shouts of embarrassment and anger (Takao was merely in his pants while Yamato only had a towel around his waist- evidence of just waking up not too long ago) were shut off by Eri clicking the bathroom door into place, very much wanting to prepare for the day ahead.

She just hoped that the rest of the day won’t turn out any worst…

And of course, someone up there just had to prove it all wrong. A loud, everyone-could-hear choir of the other occupants sang the birthday song. With slightly widened eyes staring at the commotion (Surely the neighbors are calling the police now…), Erinica returned to her default expression just as Meiko held out a medium sized cake with green frosting and cute decorations on it, including Erinica’s full name and a single lit candle in the middle of it all. With everyone urging her to make a wish , which she did, and blew out the candle. Applauses came all around as everyone settled down at the dining table, with them deciding that they should give their gifts first.

     “Open mine first, sis!”

Masaki’s eyes sparkled as Erinica (warily, she hoped that it wasn’t something ridiculous like last year’s) unwrapped the gift. Of all the gifts that Masaki had given so far, this should be the nicest gift ever (Which had Masaki unhappily mumbling that it wasn’t as grand as last year’s, yelping when Yamato gave a not-so-gentle pinch at her hand). Erinica examined the set of cute-looking, gothic-styled accessories, before setting out to open the next gift. The gift she chose this time was Ally’s, who made a beautiful mini dress that coincidentally matched the accessories Masaki gave. Juliana gifted a pair of black boots, and Meiko gave a purse that completed the clothing. Needless to say, Erinica was now extremely suspicious.

“Here’s ours. May as well open it…”

The first gift from the guys was a book, entitled “50 Shades of Grey”. Seconds later, the book went sailing through the air and hit Saeki squarely in the face, Masaki bursting into laughter and held her stomach at the sight of Saeki’s bruised face (and ego). The second gift was also a book, but this book was on ancient history and ruins. Erinica thanked Yamato for the gift and opened the next. She stared blankly at a Tupperware set, no doubt it was Takao who had gave it to her. Since Yuta and Ren were still away, it was automatically Kunihiko’s gift. It was an invitation card to a high-class restaurant for an exclusive dinner for two later tonight. There was going to be some sort of costume party, hence the gifts from the girls.

But to eat dinner alone…
“Worry not! I’ll be meeting you there! A car will come at 6 P.M. to pick you up, so be ready by then, alright? Don’t forget the card!” If anyone from above is hearing her right now, please let this be some sort of prank or joke. Everyone else did not notice Erinica’s inner turmoil as they jumped into Takao’s delicious looking breakfast before them.

“Happy Birthday dude!”

Carl slung a friendly arm around Eros, who made no move to bat his hand away. Eduardo muttered the same phrase to his little brother before awkwardly giving a pat on Eros’ head, ignoring the squawk of surprise that came from the younger boy’s mouth. They were all back at their homeland, or to be specific, at the Water Clan’s territory. Well, if you turn a blind eye to its desolate state.

They were tasked to rebuild the area by Erinica’s and Eros’ father, the current leader of the Nature Clan. Joseph’s father (The dude’s son who’s the fiancé of Masaki who’s as stubborn as Masaki and refuses to cancel the damn engagement), the leader of the Light Clan; Enka, the leader of the Fire Clan (Who is also responsible for kicking Carl out of the Clan over some issues) and Lady Lux, the head of Mother Nature had also agreed that the guys should pitch in and help while the girls are off on a mission.

Carl, Eros, Eduardo, Hunter, Yu-Liang (Mother Nature had pardoned him, but ordered that he must be under supervision of the Nature Clan, which was entirely stupid and Carl nearly combust from the stupidity), and Gordon. Others like Morgan, Russell (Who decided to help out his brother-in-law, no one knows where his mind went wrong and didn’t bother to ask), Christopher, Nathan and Thomas decided to help their navigator and first-mate out.

They all agreed to take the rest of the day off, and all of them lazed around on the Sirius. The only people who were busy were Nathan and Thomas, the two preparing dinner in the kitchen. The rest sat at the dinner table and waited for their food as they chatted. Over time, the group had gotten closer together thanks to the (stupid) job that the other Clans tasked. Otherwise, Eros would have Russell’s head on the platter now if the blond don’t stop whining about how he missed his precious Eri. Eduardo also shot a glare at the dual-swordsman, no doubt feeling the same as everyone else.

“I’d made some food. Would be runnin’ out food by tomorrow.”

Unimpressed, Nathan set the dishes rather roughly onto the table as he grumbled. Thomas had trouble with the utensils, nearly dropping them until Christopher intervened and caught said utensils. Gordon did a rough calculation on how much they would need to get and exactly how long more it would take until the girls’ return, with Yu-Liang occasionally mumbling figures that Gordon had trouble calculating mentally.

‘Girls, please come back soon!’ were echoed in their minds as the night descended.

Erinica had just finished putting on her boots when she heard excited chatter outside of her room. It came rather like a shock when Kunihiko had decided to take her out for dinner, we are talking about Kunihiko the womanizer, and practically everyone knows about his constant changing of women. Erinica was actually half-suspicious and half-content, the former because all of this was done without her knowledge and the latter since she won’t be sitting there awkwardly alone. A knock on the door and it was carefully peeled open, a small part of Masaki’s face could seen through the opening and she wolf-whistle at her.

“Will you knock it off? It sounds horrible.”

“Aw, come on! I can’t help it! I mean, you’re so pretty!”

The two sisters were interrupted by Ally, who came running into their room.

     “Eri! Your car’s here!”

“Oh. I have to go now. Good bye sister. Wish me luck.”

Masaki called after her.

     “You mean, ‘Wish you love’?”

Erinica chose to ignore that statement.

The windows were of a dark paint, so does the glass divider between the front seat and the back. Erinica had completely no idea who the driver is, after all, she had to open her own car door to get into the back seat before it started speeding down the road. As the car gradually came to a stop before the restaurant, Erinica fished out her invitation card and moved to open the car door when it was held open by itself. Maybe she could get a glimpse at the mysterious driver- Or not so mysterious after all.

     “Yuta?!”

Surprise, surprise. Yuta grinned at her shocked reaction and tipped his cap. Erinica’s thoughts came to a stop: If Yuta is back, doesn’t that mean Ren’s back too? And here she was, about to have a date with Kunihiko. Yuta eyes her dress and flushed a little, feigned a cough to hide his embarrassment before pushed her inside.

     “H-Hey!”

That was how Erinica found herself in the midst of dancing couples and important people chatting in a corner with their drinks in their hands. A well-dressed waiter came up to her for her invitation card, and she was shown to her table. As expected, Kunihiko was already there waiting, and had just finished ordering when she approached the table. He gave a ditsy smile and waved another waitress over. Kunihiko leaned over and asked:

“What do you like to drink?”

     “Plain water would do.”

Kunihiko gave a very surprised face.

     “No alcoholic drinks?”

“I’m still underage. People could take you to court for that.”

Erinica decided to not mention the fact that since Meiko and her was the only ones who did not lock their memories, it was best to stay away from drugs and alcoholic drinks. Erinica could hold her liquor well, since her father and brothers could also hold their liquor well. Well, Masaki can’t really drink, so the older sister decided to abstain from alcohol altogether.

     “Sorry I’m late.”

A strangely familiar voice came behind her, causing Erinica to turn to its source. Ren, who was not suppose to be here, gave his signature smile at Kunihiko before realizing that Eri was staring at him. Quirking a brow, Ren walked briskly towards Kunihiko who offered his seat and planted his rear onto the seat, eyes still trained at Erinica. Kunihiko noticed this and jab an elbow into Ren’s side, unpleased from the lack of thanks at his gift. And to think he did so much…

“Enjoy your dinner! I ordered your favorite drink too, and you didn’t even say ‘Thank You!’! You clearly deserve that!”

Sometimes, Erinica thought, Kunihiko can sincerely act like a child. It seemed that Ren thought the same, nursing his bruise on his side. Kunihiko pouted and left, leaving silence to hover over the two.

Ren cleared his throat. “So how were you?”

“The same. Except the extra addition of my sister bunking with me in our room.”

“I hope she didn’t try to shave herself with my razor.”

Erinica smiled.

“Too late. She tried that with Takao’s razor. She was unfazed when Takao came crashing in over her hurting herself whereas Yamato was screaming bloody murder.”

“Hahaha… At least it wasn’t that bad.”

“That wasn’t even the worst. There was this time…”

The two lovebirds continued talking throughout the whole dinner. After a while, Ren stood up and went towards Erinica, bowing slightly and extending a hand towards her.

“I know this is odd, but… May I have this dance?”

“Sure. I don’t see how this is odd.”

Erinica coolly replied, slipping her hand into his and the two joined the rest on the dance floor, dancing away into a world of their own.

FIN

A/N: Took me a whole two days to finish this. Oh yeah. In case you’re not so sure, the girls are actually on a mission into MFW world. Like Erinica had said, Meiko and her knew the mission, but the other three completely had no idea what was going on. By the way, if you guys still don’t know, Eros and Eri are twins. J
